[edit] History and Purpose

This virus was created in 1997 by Umbrella scientist, William Birkin, to replicate the effects that the progeniter flower had on the Ndpaya kings, but more powerful and less selective. Though it created more powerful beings, it was still just as selective as the progeniter flower. In 1998 William Birkin gave the virus to Albert Wesker, telling him that it is a strain of T-Virus and has a high revival rate. He told him that lie under the orders of Spencer to make sure that Albert will take it in and to make sure he didn't find out about the Wesker Children. But Birkin had to be realistic, and told Albert it had a 90% survival rate, and a 70% effective rate, so Albert wouldn't become suspicious. Albert took in the virus, and against all odds, survived. Later that year, Tony Wesker, another Wesker Child, took in the virus, and against all odds, he survived too. William Birkin wanted to take in the virus, but instead fate took him a different path. Now, the only samples of the virus left in inside the bodies of Albert and Tony Wesker.

[edit] Means of Infection

Can only infect through direct injections.

[edit] Effects of Infection

The tW-Virus is built like many virus', but not all. As the virus makes contact with a cell's membrane, it inserts its genetic coding into the cell. The cell absorbs the viral genome into its own genetic make-up, which takes over the cell's functions. The cell begins to produce offspring of the original virus, which ultimatly destroys the cell. The new viruses are then released from the host cell and infect the neighbouring cells, which starts the process all over again, slowly degenerating the hosts body until he/she dies. However, if the virus adapts to the hosts DNA, instead of destroying the cell, the cell becomes stronger and more durable. The accepted host begins to start showing symptoms of the virus. They are: an increased matabolism, a high increase in strength and speed, and an increase of duribility. The virus does not visibly mutate the host, and the only visible mutation are the eyes, as they turn into a crimson red color and the pupils become slitted, like a cats eye. It is assumed that because the host moves faster then the average human, they need to see in higher frams-per-second, likely greater the nthat of birds. In order to interact with humans, however, the host needs to see at about ten frams-per-second. So it can be assumed that the host either can alter his/her vision at will, or his/her vision is automaticly altered to suit the situation. The host can also have short bursts of speed, capable of dodging bullets. The host moves faster then the norman human brain can process, making the host appear to be 'teleporting'. The higher matabolism of the host grants them high regenerative capabilities. Added with the increased durability, this makes the host nearly indestructable. The host retains all of its former intellegence, and the virus does not interfere with brain activity. The virus forces evolution on the host, similer to Uroborus, but without the severe mutation of low quality hosts, and it is not an airborn strain.

However, their is one downside. After several years, the virus becomes very unstable, so the host(s) must take a special serum (PG67A/W) to counter-act the effects, but the dosage has to be precise, or it will act like a poison and weaken the host.

[edit] Proper Use

Take five minutes before 'death'. The virus will revive the host and bestow him/her with unimaginable power. It is very selective, and only few have the potential gain the powers the virus select, and those who are not selected mearly die and become disposed of.

[edit] Trivia

  • Despite being called the tW-Virus, it is not a strain of T-Virus, but a strain of progeniter.
  • This is considered the most powerful and successful virus Umbrella has ever created.
  • The only known hosts are Albert and Tony.
